In short
SOL has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your fasting data stays on your device unless you turn on one of the two optional features described below.
Data on your device
Your fasts, goals, moods and settings are stored only on your device. You can delete single fasts in Your Journey, delete everything with Reset all data in Settings, or remove it all by deleting the app.
Optional: community count
This is off unless you turn it on. If you join, SOL stores one record in Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) while you are fasting: the time your fast started, the time it is expected to end, and a random number created for this app installation. Apple also links the record to an anonymous identifier of your iCloud account for this app. The record contains no name or contact details. It is deleted when you end your fast or leave the count, and it is used only to show how many people are fasting.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time in Settings.
Optional: iCloud backup
This is off unless you turn it on. If you do, your fasting history is copied to your own private iCloud storage so it can be restored on a new device. Only you can access it. Turning the backup off deletes the copy.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR).
Notifications
Reminders and phase notifications are created on your device. Nothing is sent to a server for them.
Tips
Tips are in-app purchases handled by Apple. SOL never sees your payment details.
Apple
iCloud and in-app purchases are provided by Apple Distribution International Ltd., Ireland. Apple may process data in countries outside the EU, including the USA. Apple's privacy policy applies to its services.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to a data protection authority.
Changes
This text may be updated when the app changes.
